BMW Korea

On April 24th Dr. Bärtels, CFO&Vice-President of BMW visited Incheon National University.

Before he came, Kang Young-gu and Kim You-kyung had a presentation about European Cars and especially BMW Motors. We knew BMW somewhat and really curious about Visitor’s presentation. We were interested in BMW Motors, so we wanted to know much more.

We showed many european car brands, sales of european cars and BMW Korea.

 

Dr. Bärtels told us that Korean car industry is so competitive and there are many regulation on car industry. So he told it is so hard to manage the business in Korea. Despite of this situation, BMW is one of the best selling car companies in Korea. Their profit is more bigger then last year. Also the profit has gradually raised since 2002. He also mentioned BMW Koreas’s dealers are so good. They sell the cars very well and their store’s interior is also fantastic. BMW dealers made a good relationship with BMW Korea, and BMW Korea offers education for dealer.

 

After the class, we had a meal at chinese restaurant with professor Menke and Dr. Bärtels.

We talked in calm atmosphere and enjoyed the conversation. Also we heard the shocking refund story in relation to BMW’s chinese office. It was interesting and makes us challenge to dream.
